Rep. Jose Menendez' poker legalization bill officially died this evening. When Menendez' bill came up, he told his lawmakers he was taking it off of the agenda, sparing them a heated debate when he knows the governor would veto the legislation.
"You need to know when to hold them and you need to know when to fold them," Menendez said.
Before he did, a few jokes were made about Menendez' bill number: HB 222.
