Competitive Analysis

Since 2005, the CanadianPokerTour.com has limited competition with it's core business.  Currently, the only competition comes from a company in Western Canada that has limited success with a similiar model. The company has called itself the Canadian Poker Tour but has not ventured heavily into Eastern Canada. As well, our site sees increased traffic when programs such as European Poker Tour and Asian Poker Tour are broadcast as consumers look to Canadian Poker Tour for similiar tournaments. 

CanadianPokerTour.com benefits from their marketing efforts and television spots as we have seen increased Unique visitors to our site whenever their shows were broadcast over the past year.

For example, below is the traffic summary of Unique Visitors on January 20th, 2009. At 8 p.m. , the competitor's show aired on The Score sports channel for 1 hour:
